Angie from Brunswick East contacted Rod May From Captain's Creek organic farm and together they are getting the Captain's Creek organic box scheme to Melbourne. New Members are welcome to join this buyers group.

After getting excited about eating local organic food and buying direct from organic farmers I did some research and I found a farm called Captain’s Creek. Run by farmer, Rod May, it is a certified organic farm with NASAA (No. 3082).  The farm already runs a local veggie box scheme, however Rod was happy extend his run to Melbourne if we form a group and make it a single drop off point. So we have made a group and its been steadily growing. Rod also put us in contact with local dairy farmer Clare Muller who makes amazing dairy products and eggs. We are now so happy to have access to fresh great tasting, local and organic grown food! Veggie boxes come in a range of sizes and include a variety of in season veg and some fruit, all come with dirt and the occasional bug. This is the real deal, no preening or polishing, what the bugs have nibbled can go to the compost.  These boxes offer great value way to get staple organic veggies into your lives, as well as supporting local organic farming and shrinking your carbon footprint.

If you are interested in joining the group, please follow the links in the side menu for further information and feel free to ask questions via email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
