Can we just trial it and see if it is good for us

Yes if you are not sure that this is an Excellent thing you can order a bag or a box and come and meet us and see for yourself. Membership isn't really that much any way its a $5 Admin and the rest ($10) returns straight back to you as soon as you buy other yummy things in the shop. So its up to you to trial or to jump straight in. If you trial and like it then you can pay membership on your second visit. You will have to become a member if you want to continue to get organic veggie boxes, see below for more details, but once you are a member you are free to get veggies when it suits you, you are not committed to a weekly box and you are not locked into a monthly or yearly contract. Some members find they like getting a bag every week, others like a bigger box every second week and some members share a box between 2 families. Your membership must stay active. This basically means communicating with us. Please read below, How do I keep my membership Active?

What is the membership fee?

There is a once off $15 Membership. Don't get scared you actually only pay a $5 Fee and get the rest back! Your $5 non-refundable fee pays for administration. The $10 part of your membership you get back as a $10 credit to spend in the store on your first week, be it on dairy, oil, eggs, four etc. So it is really a $5 Admin fee with $10 coming straight back to you.

So why do I get most of my membership fee back?

Buyers groups work best when they have lots of active members, who give feedback and make requests. We think these discounts and credits will help you to get involved and use the group and in so doing make it better. You are also encouraged to make visits to the farm, share recipes and join in other community related activities.

How do I become a member?

1) Your Name, phone, number and address.
2) The size of box you would like to pick up
3) The pick-up date

Please note that Pick up is every Thursday between 3:30pm and 9pm in Brunswick East

I will respond to your email to confirm your order and send you our address for pick up, your member number and our bank details (you can then deposit money for you veggies and membership)

After that first payments it made the system becomes easier as you simply bring $$ for your next order when you pick veggies and that way stay paid in advance.

How do I keep my Membership Active?

Communication is the key. We ask all members to be paid in advance for their next box. It doesn't matter if you skip a week or three as long as you have paid for the next box you wish to receive. If you are going away let us know and we will defer your pick up dates around your schedule and hold your spot. If you have NOT placed an advanced order or have NOT asked us to reserve your place and we hear nothing from you for 6 weeks you may forfeit you membership place and fees. If this happens and you want to re-register you will have to pay your membership fee again. This measure helps our buyers group stay active and keeps the administration books clear and easy to use.
